Most of the used Arch- and Ring-Bending Machines at the workshops can be modified with the Modify Set Spiral Rolling GBWZ 608 for an optimal price-efficiency balance for rolling of handrails, crossbars and underrails made from stainless steel and brass for spiral staircases with solid or open newel. In 1997 the Government of Bavaria awarded a prize for this Modify Set.

The Modify Set Spiral Rolling GBWZ 608 consists of:

• A solid base plate for fixing of the Pitch Arm. In order to deliver the correct attachment it is necessary to tell us the manufacturer and the type of your machine exactly. GLASER knows the connection measurements of the most used Arch- and Ring-Bending Machines. Unless we need a drawing of your machine for mounting the base plate on your machine.
• The Pitch Arm for mounting on the base plate. When rolling handrails and underrails for spiral staircases with solid or open newel it is necessary to work out a certain pitch of the handrail, besides the arch. For this reason a Pitch Arm is provided.
• One Electronic Twisting Measuring Device GBWZ 609. When spiral rolling the tube is continuously twisting. The pitch results from the twisting grade referring to a certain tube length (control measurement). For a pre-set pitch the tube has to twist on a certain length (e.g. 290 mm) in a certain angle (e.g. 7°).

This twisting grade is measured at the tube end with an electronic pendulum angle measuring system and digitally displayed on the electronic evaluation system. This evaluation system and the display are installed in a small table casing.

An adapter adjusts the pendulum angle measuring system to the tube diameter. There are respective adapters for all usual tube diameters. The delivery program includes an adapter for a tube of 1 ¼”.

The pendulum angle measuring system and the electronic evaluation system are connected with a cable of 7m.
